Personal Care

Choosing the level of care and support you require can be difficult, particularly after a recent change in circumstances or hospital discharge. Caring Direct can accommodate all the initial support that you require, review your care plan over the following weeks and implement changes accordingly. You remain in control of your care at all times.

Providing care in your own home is becoming increasingly popular and can be more affordable than you think.
In some cases funding can be requested from Social Services to assist with costs.

In order that you are able to remain in your own home and live as independently as possible Caring Direct provides a range of services that accommodate and assist with your personal care.

Caring Direct aims to ensure that the people who use services are involved in the care that they receive, and that the right to make or influence decisions is respected at all times.

In the first instance we will discuss your care requirements, risk assess the care to be provided and suggest a care solution based upon the choices you make.

Your preferred care plan will take account of your daily routines, the time at which you like to wake in the morning, the times that you prefer to eat, medication management, continence care and the time at which you like to go back to bed at night.

Once care is agreed we will endeavour to suitably match the right care workers for you.

Care staff will arrive for duty on time, presentable and suitably matched to the tasks for which they have been selected. Your care worker will be expected to last for the full duration as detailed in the care plan and start and finish times are recorded at each visit.

All care staff are carefully selected and DBS checked prior to employment.

Your care will be monitored by Senior ‘Key Workers’ who will oversee and supervise care staff. Your medication will also be monitored by ‘Key workers’ who will work with you and family members to ensure reordering of medication as necessary.

All care staff receive regular training and ongoing development to ensure they are updated in all changes within The Health and Social Care Act that may affect the way in which care is provided to you.

For more information on the training provided to our care staff please go to the training and development section of this website.
